"One thing I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after:
to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord..."
Psalm 27:4
Isabel Maria Lewis studied art at the Lorenzo de Medici School in Florence, Italy.  There she was greatly inspired by the captivating beauty and history of the artists who helped to build the foundations of influential art worldwide.  She attributes much of her artistic formation to her mother who, as a former professional ballerina, was able to understand and form Isabel's creative gifts.  Isabel was also greatly influenced by her first childhood art teacher, Carolyn Anderson, who was the first to recognize her exceptional talent.  In her late teens, she was introduced to professional portraiture by master portrait artist and teacher Robert Liberace.  From there she went on to study art at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, DC.  She now lives in the beautiful San Diego, CA area with her husband, Steve.
She thanks God for all her many blessings that have come to her through the years with art teachers, clients, and most of all, her young students who inspire and encourage her to create more.
